The world’s public opinion has been being shocked by the oil catastrophe in the Gulf of Mexico for months. The irresponsible, profit-hungry behaviour of a multinational company caused an awful natural disaster. The Earth hasn’t been hit by such enormous and damaging disaster since the Chernobyl reactor accident.
The event mustn’t be settled with only a financial penalty. It’s not a speeding or making a mess! The catastrophe is a crime against the Earth and humankind. It’s reasonable to bring the party at fault to trial. The Hungarian Green Left – Green Democrats initiates it. We ask all our friends, MPs of European Greens and European Left Party to insist together with us to bring the guilty at fault to International Court of justice at The Hague.

Without you, volunteers, there is no festival at all!

After the opening ceremony was being held on 4th July, the American movie ‘I Love You, Phillip Morris’ is going to be screened. The film festival takes places from 5-9th and 11th July at the Művész mozi, besides this you can also attend workshops at the Bálint ház (5-7th and 11th July) and at the British Embassy (8-9th July). Moreover there will be theater plays, dance night, free stage, rapid date and of course parties far into the night.

We expect you helping us in several tasks.
·        We are looking for insurers to the Pride March, whose meeting will be at the Heroes’ Square on 10th July. The work starts at 2 PM, and their task will be to ensure the security and quietude of the procession. We are going to need at least 50-100 volunteers!

Furthermore we are looking for…
·        Receptionists at the Művész mozi, from 5:30 PM to 10 PM, on 7-9th and 11th July
·        Supervisors at the Bálint ház, from 4:30 PM to 8:30 PM, on 7-9th and 11th July
·        Supervisors at the parties, who are controlling at the night the ticket desk and helping the work of the security guards (on 3rd and 10th July)
·        Transporters with cars, who would transport people
·        Transporters with bicycles, who would transport little packages
·        Escorts of foreign VIPs and translators for a few workshops

After working 4-5 hours voluntarily, you get a free ticket for a movie of the film festival or you get free entrance to the dance night (8th July) or the Rainbow Party (10th July). The more you work, the more tickets you get!
